DALLAS — The honors continue to roll in for Kayvon Thibodeaux and Verone McKinley III as the Oregon football standouts were announced as all-Americans by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) on Friday morning.
Thibodeaux is one of four defensive linemen on the first team, while McKinley received second-team honors. Oregon is one of 12 schools with multiple FWAA all-Americans.
Thibodeaux earned first-team status after landing on the second team in 2020, becoming the first Oregon defender to receive FWAA first-team honors since Haloti Ngata in 2005. He has now received first-team honors by the first two of the five outlets that make up consensus and unanimous all-America selections, landing on the Walter Camp Football Foundation first team on Thursday.
