BERKELEY -- Without a healthy experienced back to hand the ball to Oregon turned to pair of freshmen to lead the charge at Cal.
Despite senior Tony Brooks-James being limited due to an ankle injury, No. 19 Oregon had 264 rushing yards in a 42-24 win over No. 24 Cal on Saturday led by 18 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown from true freshman Travis Dye and nine carries for 106 yards from CJ Verdell.
It was a banner day for Dye, who entered the game with 26 carries for 138 yards during the first four games of the season.
