Loville, 48, was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine for his connection to a drug ring led by Owen Hanson, a walk-on tight end and volleyball player at the University of Southern California. Hanson was a member of the Trojans football team in 2004.
Loville was one of 22 defendants who were sentenced in the case involving Hanson's offshore gambling and drug trafficking enterprise.
Loville spent nine seasons in the NFL, two with the Seahawks, three with the San Francisco 49ers and four with the Denver Broncos.
