EUGENE -- Another former Oregon softball player is headed to Texas.
Outfield Shannon Rhodes, who left the Ducks earlier this month, is headed back to her native Lone Star State to join former Oregon coach Mike White and the Longhorns.
"Today I chose to continue my dreams of playing softball at the highest level at the University of Texas," Rhodes wrote in a message via Twitter. "I want to thank my family in Oregon for all of the love I have received over the past 2 years. I will forever cherish the memories of playing at Jane Sanders Stadium.
