Former Oregon Ducks longsnapper Tanner Carew has signed with the Chicago Bears, the team announced.
Carew originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in April, but was released July 28.
Carew will compete with fourth-year longsnapper Patrick Scales, who was the only longsnapper on the team before Carew was signed.
Carew was the only long snapper invited to the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine this summer. Carew was also invited to the Senior Bowl.
