T.J. Ward's chances of signing with a NFL team may have increased a little bit.
Prosecutors dropped drug possession charges against Ward, according to court records in Hillsborough County (Fla.). The charges were dropped on Thursday.
The free agent safety was arrested in January on charges of cannabis possession, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. The arrest and charges were filed following an incident in which Tampa police responded to an alarm call from Ward's apartment.
Police discovered 99.9 grams of marijuana in two glass jars in plain view in the apartment during their investigation.
