BOULDER, COLORADO - Despite a season-high game from Chris Duarte (27 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks, 1 assist), Coach Tad Boyle and senior guard McKinley Wright IV were able to stay one step ahead of the low-flying Ducks as the Colorado curse worked its usual magic in the contest.
Jeriah Horne hit the game’s opening shot and the Buffs earned a 6-2 lead early on, but back-to-back buckets from Eugene Omoruyi tied it at six apiece with 16:24 in the opening half. Colorado responded by scoring six unanswered points, then Oregon capped off a 9-0 run with a triple from Chandler Lawson that gave the Ducks their first lead of the night, 15-12.
