There's been so very much to dissect from Oregon's 38-31 overtime loss to Stanford, something's been a bit lost that shouldn't be.
In the four quarters of regulation, the Ducks' junior quarterback, Justin Herbert, was nearly flawless in the passing game. He attempted 27 passes, and completed 25. One completion went through a running back's hands. The other was into tight coverage to a receiver, but on the money. The 25 that were completed netted 331 yards, and a touchdown.
Through four games, Herbert is validating preseason hype from those projecting college football's major awards, and future NFL drafts.
