AUSTIN, Texas – Nine Ducks secured their spot at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene after qualifying through the first of three days at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds Thursday.
Jenna Prandini and Jasmine Todd finished with the best two long jumps in the west regional and reserved their place in Eugene. The defending national champion Prandini jumped 21-4.75 (6.52m) on her second attempt while Todd’s first attempt of 21-4 (6.50m) was good enough for second place. Todd will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in her career after earning four All-America awards indoors.
