EUGENE, Ore. – LJ Figueroa sparked an Oregon rally with a thunderous rebound dunk and Chris Duarte took over in the last five minutes for the second straight game as No. 21 Oregon outlasted Stanford 73-56 Saturday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
After Figueroa's dunk tied the game at 41-41 with 12:43 to go the Ducks (8-1, 3-0) outscored Stanford (5-3, 1-1) 32-15 the rest of the way.
"That energy from a big-time play like that, no matter what sport, somebody make a big play and gets everybody energized…you get on a roll with those types of plays," said head coach Dana Altman.
