Former Oregon Ducks linebacker Spencer Paysinger has signed with the New York Jets, the team announced Friday morning.
Paysinger, a seven-year veteran, spent the last two seasons playing for the Miami Dolphins. The 6-foot-2, 249-pound Paysinger posted 83 tackles in 29 games (three starts) while also playing on special teams with the Dolphins. He recorded 27 tackles in the Dolphins final five games of the regular season in 2016.
The Jets signed Paysinger after releasing veteran linebacker David Harris Tuesday, but Paysinger likely signed for significantly less money than what Harris was earning.
