EUGENE, Ore. - Sophomore pitcher Miranda Elish tossed her first career perfect game and the Ducks swept a doubleheader against Portland State on Tuesday night at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Oregon won the first game, 8-2, and was victorious in the second game, 3-0.
Elish threw her perfect game in the second game of the doubleheader. The sophomore used a career-high 16 strikeouts to post the third perfect game in Oregon softball history and first-ever seven inning perfect game.
Jessica Moore had a perfect game against No. 17 Arizona on April 14, 2013, in a five-inning 9-0 run-rule win.
