Sometimes, the Oregon women's soccer team can lose sight of that. Junior Emma Eddy said she certainly can be guilty, which might come as a surprise to those who see the rangy Eugene native flying up and down the field, a smile across her face as she stuffs in key goals for the Ducks this season.
Most of the time, that smile illustrates the joy Eddy brings to the field, her carefree spirit off the field shining through with the Ducks. Every once in a while, though, it's masking the self-doubt she experiences, letting one mistake linger to the point it can lead to another.
