EUGENE, Ore. — The 20th career triple-double by UO senior Sabrina Ionescu was somehow upstaged Monday afternoon, when freshman guard Jaz Shelley made a program-record 10 three-pointers in No. 3 Oregon's 84-41 victory over UC Riverside before a boisterous young crowd of 11,705 fans on "Field Trip Day" in Matthew Knight Arena.
With junior Satou Sabally sitting out, Shelley made her first career start and finished with 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting. She was 10-of-14 from three-point range, breaking the previous program record of nine made three-pointers in a single game — set by three players, most recently UO junior Erin Boley in January of this year.
