A couple things ...
-- The Oregon Ducks eased the string of a disappointing conclusion to the NCAA season with a strong showing at the USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships, which concluded yesterday in Bloomington, Indiana.
Freshman Lauren Rain Williams won the women's 200-meter final. She became one of eight Ducks or future Ducks to qualify for the World U-20 Outdoor Championships, July 10-15 in Tampere, Finland.
Also qualifying were fellow UO freshmen Joseph Anderson in the 110 hurdles, Cooper Teare in the 1,500 and 5,000, Jasmin Reed as a member of the women's 4x100 relay pool and Shae Anderson as part of the women's 4x400 relay pool.
