A couple things ...
-- We should get an early read on the Oregon Ducks' hopes of sneaking into contention for the women's title at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships today.
The Ducks, who have won seven of the last eight women's team titles, will be in an unfamiliar dark horse role when things get underway at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, Texas with the heptathlon 60-meter hurdles.
For a change, Oregon doesn't have any multi-events athletes in either the women's or men's competition.
The UO men have no realistic chance of winning their fourth indoor championship in five years.
