WACO, Texas – The No. 2 Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team defeated No. 3 Azusa Pacific, 273.325-265.665, at the Ferrell Center on Friday afternoon to advance to the NCATA National Championship Finals.
The Ducks will face No. 1 Baylor in the final round on Saturday. This will be UO's eighth appearance in the championship round since the NCATA's inception in 2011. In that time span, Oregon has won four of eight NCATA National Championships and registered a postseason record of 72-15, including a total of 45 individual event titles and 19 All-Americans.
How It Happened: The Ducks (7-2) began the semifinal meet with a victory over the Cougars (5-3) in the compulsory event, 37.
