PHOENIX – The Oregon women's golf team will enter the final round of the PING/ASU Inviational in a tie for second place after carding a second consecutive 2-under 286 in Saturday's second round at Papago Golf Course.
The No. 2 Ducks are tied with No. 19 Baylor for second at 4-under par, 17 strokes behind No. 8 Arizona State, which is hosting the tournament on its home course. Oregon and Baylor are two strokes up on No. 1 Stanford, which sits in fourth at 2-under par.
UO was led on Saturday by junior Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen, who made four birdies and just one bogey for an impressive 3-under 69.
