LINCOLN, Neb. — Emma Eddy's goal in the 86th minute and Halla Hinriksdottir's six saves earned Oregon a 1-1 tie with No. 18 Kansas Sunday at Barbara Hibner Field.
For much of the match, it looked like the Jayhawks' goal in the 26th minute was going to be enough as Oregon couldn't muster much of an attack. The Ducks (2-1-1) didn't record their first shot until the 67th minute of the match.
But after that, the Ducks turned the tables on Kansas (3-0-1) the final 20 minutes of regulation and finally broke through when Kyra Fawcett crossed the ball ahead to Eddy, sandwiched between two Jayhawk defenders, and Eddy scored her second goal of the season from 15 yards out.
