EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon softball team came away with its first Pac-12 series win of the season on Saturday, taking two of three from California after splitting a doubleheader at Jane Sanders Stadium.
The Ducks (19-22, 4-11 Pac-12) clinched the series in the continued game from Friday night to start the twin bill on Saturday, riding sophomore Jordan Dail's second straight complete-game shutout to a 4-0 win. Oregon got off to a slow start in game two and then fell just short in a late comeback attempt as Cal (24-22, 3-14 Pac-12) salvaged the series finale, 5-3.
