EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon volleyball team was swept at home for the second straight match Thursday night, falling to No. 7 Stanford 25-23, 25-17, 25-18 before 1,905 fans in Matthew Knight Arena.
How It Happened: Oregon’s recent struggle to close out sets was a factor again from the outset. The Ducks led 17-11 in the first set, forcing Stanford to take timeout. The Cardinal proceeded to score four straight points and 10 of the next 13 to creep ahead 21-20. A Lindsey Vander Weide kill forced the last tie at 23-23, but Stanford closed out the set with two straight points.
