EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon softball team swept its fall doubleheader against Southern Oregon on Sunday afternoon at Jane Sanders Stadium.
The Ducks improved to 4-0-1 on the fall, winning the first game 3-0 behind a gem in the circle by Brooke Yanez before getting the bats going in a 13-3 victory to end the day.
Yanez, a junior transfer from UC Davis, was stellar in the opening game, striking out 10 while allowing just two hits and one walk over seven shutout innings.
The Ducks scattered eight hits while pushing three runs across to back Yanez.
