San Diego, Calif. – No. 14 Oregon had seven extra-base hits including a pair of home runs to outslug San Diego State 10-5 in game two of a three-game series on Saturday at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Ducks wrapped up the series winning for the second straight day.
How It Happened: Senior Steven Packard and sophomore A.J. Balta both launched two-run homers over the right-field wall to spark Oregon’s offensive explosion. Packard’s homer broke a 3-3 tie in the third inning, while Balta’s gave Oregon a 9-4 lead in the sixth inning.
