SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon men’s tennis team won four singles matches and one doubles contest on the opening day of the ITA Regional Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The first round of singles matches kicked things off at the tournament. Bartosz Sawicki squeaked by Portland State’s Ian Risenhoover 7-6 (7-2) in the first set before blanking him in the second set 6-0 to move on.
Also in a tight contest was Ethan Young-Smith who dropped the opening set to Roy Lederman of Stanford 6-4, before battling back and taking the next two, 6-3, 7-5.
