Ducks Settle For Series Split

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon softball team had to settle for a series split with Stanford after dropping Sunday's finale at Jane Sanders Stadium, 5-0.

The Ducks (30-10) managed just three hits and had three pitchers allow at least one run to the Cardinal (25-13). Oregon is 7-9 in April, and will look to get back on track next weekend against Arizona State, which is a half-game ahead of the Ducks in the Pac-12.

"Just not good enough," UO coach Melyssa Lombardi said. "We got out-played, out-coached, out-everything."

How It Happened: A two-out solo home run in the first inning got Stanford on the board first against UO starter Makenna Kliethermes.
