EUGENE, Ore. — Playing for their postseason lives, the Oregon volleyball team made an emphatic statement Wednesday evening in Matthew Knight Arena, sweeping Arizona State, 25-17, 25-21, 25-15.
How It Happened: The Ducks (15-13, 9-10 Pac-12) entered the final week of the regular season desperate to enhance their NCAA Tournament resume, and only trailed once all night, at 1-0 in the third set. An ace by Kacey Nady capped a three-point run for a 6-2 lead in the first set, and two kills apiece from Nady and Martenne Bettendorf contributed to a 6-2 run for a commanding 15-8 advantage.
