SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Oregon men’s tennis team opened up the 2015 fall season on a strong note as it recorded seven wins on the first day of the UCSB Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The day started on the doubles side as the Ducks picked up three wins in the four matches they played.
In their first competition together, Jayson Amos and Armando Soemarno easily dispatched Brett Bacharach/Adam Levie of UC Davis, 8-5.
Also adding wins was Bartosz Sawicki/Cormac Clissold as they put away Pacific’s Kumara Adavelly/Bernardo Oliveira, 8-4 in flight B and Brent Chin/Alberto Reyes as they won 8-6 over host duo Teague Hamilton/Anders Holm.
