LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Oregon women’s tennis team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Long Beach Invitational Friday at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The Ducks went 6-2 in singles and 2-2 in doubles in the opening day of play.
How It Happened: The Ducks were paired with Long Beach State in doubles and Cal State Northridge in singles for the opening day of competition.
Oregon shined in singles, taking six of eight matches over Cal State Northridge. Tobita won in the top singles spot, defeating Mickey Hsu, 6-1, 6-4. Kluiving held down the fourth singles position with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kiryang Kim.
