Heisman Trophy quarterback Marcus Mariota has enlisted the help of his former university to help with hurricane-relief efforts for his home state of Hawaii.
Oregon's football program will help Mariota's Motiv8 Foundation raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Lane, the school announced. UO is asking that donations be made through the foundation's website, motiv8foundation.com, or by mail.
"I want to express a big mahalo to the Oregon Football program and the players from Hawaii on the team for helping with the Hurricane Lane relief effort," Mariota said in a news release. "It means a great deal to us to be able to help people back home.
