PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon took a three-run lead into the bottom of the eighth inning, but Portland plated five runs in the inning to hand the Ducks a 5-3 loss Tuesday at Joe Etzel Field.
How it Happened: The Pilots (9-4) scored five runs on six base hits in the bottom of the eighth inning to go in front for good. After Oregon reliever got the leadoff man to fly out, six straight Portland batters got hits, capped off by a go-ahead two-run double by Gabe Skoro.
Oregon (7-3) drew first blood in the top of the second to take a 1-0 lead.
