ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – Three members of the Oregon men’s tennis team opened play today at the Kramer Classic as competition took place at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club.
In singles, Daan Maasland came in at the No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye.
Alberto Reyes faced Washington’s Sebastian Hawkens in the opening round. After taking the first set in the tiebreaker, Reyes was unable to hold the lead and fell 6-2, 6-1 in the next two.
Simon Stevens also had his match go the full three sets.
