NAPA, Calif. – The Oregon women’s golf team powered through the long 36-hole opening day of the Second Annual Silverado Showdown and finished Monday in first place with a 13-over 589 at the Silverado Resort North Course. The Ducks fired an 11-over 299 in the first round and improved in the second 18 with a 2-over 290 in the afternoon to jump from second to first.
Caroline Inglis kept the Ducks in the first round with an even-par 72, but it was the trio of Kelsey Ulep (2-under 70), Cassy Isagawa (even-par 72) and Cathleen Santoso (1-over 73) in the second round that catapulted the Ducks into the driver’s seat of the 15-team tournament.
