EUGENE, Ore. – LJ Figueroa, who led St. John's in scoring as a junior in 2019-20, is transferring to Oregon, head coach Dana Altman announced on Thursday.
The 6-6 senior will need a waiver from the NCAA in order to be eligible for the 2020-21 season.
Figueroa, from Lawrence, Mass., was the Red Storm's top scorer a year ago at 14.5 points per game. He also led the Big East with 1.9 steals per game. He scored in double figures 22 times with six 20-point games. Figueroa made 72 three-pointers in 2019-20, a number that tied for third on the St.
