Katrina Dowd became the latest coach to leave the Oregon Ducks by resigning Friday after two seasons heading the program.
Dowd, in a news release, said she is "interested in pursuing other opportunities." Dowd was the second coach in the lacrosse program's history. The Ducks were 18-17 in her tenure. They began the 2018 season 8-5 before closing on a 1-4 run and bowing out in the second round of the Pac-12 tournament.
Assistant coach Becca Block is the interim coach and the university said a search for a head coach has begun.
Dowd is the sixth Oregon coach to leave since late June, joining head softball coach Mike White, who left for Texas; head women's golf coach Ria Scott, who left for Virginia; assistant track coaches Andy and Maurica Powell, who left to lead Washington's program; and men's tennis assistant Jonas Piibor, who left to become Gonzaga's head coach.
