The Philadelphia 76ers organization has signed Arsalan Kazemi to a one-year contract worth an undisclosed amount of money. Kazemi uploaded a photo of his contract offer to his Instagram account on Friday, accompanied by #worktwiceashard. After transferring from Rice University to the University of Oregon for his senior season of collegiate basketball, he was drafted by the Washington Wizards as the 54th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. His rights were immediately acquired by the Sixers.
Kazemi spent the past two seasons overseas; the first season in Iran, playing for Petrochimi, of the Iran Super League, where his team went undefeated and won the championship.
