NAPA, Calif. — Oregon improved after the turn for the second day in a row but has work to do in the final round of the Silverado Showdown after finishing Tuesday's second round in second place at 9-over 585, eight strokes behind San Jose State.
One day after cutting a 12-stroke deficit through nine holes to just one after 18, the Ducks shot even par after the turn Tuesday but didn't make up their gap behind the Spartans.
"I told them I'm excited that the tournament is not over with yet, and I'm thankful we've got one more day," UO coach Derek Radley said.
