WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – Led by a strong showing from freshman Edwin Yi, the Oregon men’s golf team sits in fourth place after playing 36 holes at the Southwestern Jones Invitational on Monday.
How It Happened: The Ducks fired a 3-over 291 in their first round and a 2-over 290 in their second to finish the first day at the par-72, 6,992-yard North Ranch Country Club Lakes and Oaks courses in fourth overall. USC leads the event at 24-under after a 16-under 272 in Monday’s second round. Host Pepperdine is in second at 11-under and San Diego State sits one stroke ahead of the Ducks at 4-over for third.
