Ducks hope to strike in NCAA indoor men's mile, women's 3k: Oregon track & field rundown

The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships wrap up today at Gilliam Indoor Track in College Station, Texas.

For the first time in a while the Oregon Ducks don't appear to be in contention for a national men's or women's team title.

But the Ducks could still do some big things in individual events. They have two entries in both the men's mile (Sam Prakel and Reed Brown) and the women's 3,000 (Lilli Burdon and Jessica Hull), for instance. And ChaQuinn Cook is a scoring threat in the women's triple jump.

Burdon and Hull were part of the UO women's distance medley, which ended a disappointing first day for Oregon on a high night by winning the race.
