Ducks Hold Off Hawaii Pacific in Home Opener

EUGENE – The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team earned a 267.555-265.665 win over Hawaii Pacific on Saturday night before 1,462 at Matthew Knight Arena.

How It Happened: In compulsories, the Ducks (2-0) posted a pair of 9.75’s in the pyramid and toss heats to open the meet with a 35.40-34.85 win in the compulsory event. Along with a win in the pyramid and toss, Oregon took a win in the tumbling heat to clinch the event.

The Sharks would answer, however, picking up wins in the acro and pyramid events to carry a 93.20-93.05 lead into halftime.
