ANAHEIM, Calif. — There’s a lot that makes sports fun, and near the top of the list is watching an underdog try to unseat a favorite.
The problem this week, with Oregon poised to meet Duke in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen on Thursday (7:07 p.m., TBS), is that it’s hard to figure out which hat best fits which head.
Dana Altman’s Ducks (30-6) are the West Regional’s top seed, taking on Mike Krzyzewski’s fourth-seeded Blue Devils (25-10). And yet Duke has 40 NCAA Tournament appearances to Oregon’s 13, and 25 Sweet Sixteen appearances to Oregon’s six.
