EUGENE, Ore. — The Ducks got a scare Friday from Washington, but the Oregon women's basketball team pulled away down the stretch to beat the Huskies 65-58 before 6,497 fans in Matthew Knight Arena.
The No. 21 Ducks (12-5, 4-2 Pac-12) shot 41.1 percent on the night, including 37 percent in the first half. But after UW put together a 13-2 run in the fourth quarter to lead 52-51 with 4:39 to play, Oregon made its last four shots from the field and got enough stops down the stretch to get the win.
"I congratulate Washington — they played hard, played really well, gave us everything we can handle," UO coach Kelly Graves said.
