TEMPE, Ariz. -- The sixth-ranked Oregon softball team scored in the first three innings as it went on to beat Georgia State, 11-0, Friday night at the Kajikawa Classic. It was the second game of the day for the Ducks, who defeated Cal Poly, 12-3, earlier in the day to open the 2016 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Alyssa Gillespie continued to have an outstanding opening day to her senior season. She was three-of-four in the earlier game against Cal Poly and singled on a bunt in her first at-bat against Georgia State.
