EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon won its fifth straight game at home and for the first time this season in conference play Friday, as the UO women beat Arizona State, 65-53, before 6,086 fans in Matthew Knight Arena.
The Ducks (10-7, 1-3 Pac-12) used their size advantage to outscore ASU in the paint 34-20, and to put together a 48-27 edge in rebounding. Though only two three-pointers fell for Oregon on the night and the Ducks were 13-of-25 from the free-throw line, it all added up to a comfortable win.
"I thought we actually played a pretty good ball game tonight, a complete game at both ends," UO coach Kelly Graves said.
