EUGENE – The Oregon women’s tennis team’s nine-match winning streak was snapped Sunday afternoon in a 4-3 loss to No. 25 Arizona State at the Student Tennis Center.
How It Happened: The Ducks (11-3, 3-1 Pac-12) slipped in doubles, dropping 6-1 matches on courts two and three to give the Sun Devils the doubles point. Oregon’s 33rd-ranked doubles team of Kennan Johnson and Shweta Sangwan was knotted up at three games apiece with the No. 23 tandem of Ebony Panoho and Alex Osborne on No. 1 as the point was clinched, but the match was suspended.
