SEATTLE – The No. 24 Oregon volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 4 Washington at Alaska Airlines Arena, Friday, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16.
How it Happened: The Ducks were tested against the Huskies’ nation-leading offense and defense in terms of hitting efficiency, as Washington spread the ball around to its hitters. Each of the first two sets were hard-fought and closely contested throughout. The Ducks trailed 15-13 in the first set but a 3-0 run made it a five-point gap, one the Huskies would finish the set with. Oregon cut the lead to 22-20 in the second set but a Washington timeout led to a 3-1 run to take the teams to intermission.
