Oregon’s cross country teams will take their first steps of the season Friday on Pre’s Trail, setting off on a journey they hope ends with a final step onto the NCAA podium at Louisville in late November.
The UO men and women will host the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Friday evening against Gonzaga and Portland State. The 6,000-meter women’s race begins at 6:10 p.m., and the 8k men’s race is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
In a treat for the home fans, two-time NCAA individual champion Edward Cheserek is entered in the opening race of the season.
