PORTLAND — With just six healthy scholarship players available, the Oregon men's basketball team showed tremendous heart Sunday in beating Villanova, 74-67, to close out the Phil Knight Invitational at Chiles Center.
The Ducks trailed for only 38 seconds, but among those brief moments was a 67-64 deficit with 2:27 to play. The UO men then closed out the game with a 10-0 run, tying it on Quincy Guerrier's sixth three-pointer of the afternoon and getting the next five points of the game from Will Richardson.
"Will and Quincy just showed how important leadership is, and experience," UO coach Dana Altman said.
