HONOLULU - The No. 5 ranked Oregon softball team beat UNLV, 4-2, on Friday afternoon for its 12th win in a row and second of the day at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium on the second day of the Bank of Hawaii Invitational.
The Ducks (12-0) remain undefeated to start the 2017 season and have gone 3-0 so far in the tournament.
How it Happened: After being held to one run in their win over Montana earlier in the day, the Ducks matched that total in the first inning against UNLV (7-3). Gwen Svekis doubled off the left-field wall after a Danica Mercado single to put two in scoring position, and Nikki Udria put the Ducks ahead with an RBI groundout.
