STANFORD, Calif. – Leah Freeman and Croix Soto anchored an impressive defensive effort as Oregon and Stanford played to a 0-0 tie in overtime in a nonconference match Sunday at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
It is the first time in program history that the Ducks (5-3-3) have gone undefeated on the Bay Area trip. It was also the first time that Oregon held the Cardinal scoreless on their home field.
"The mentality we were able to show this weekend was incredible," said head coach Graeme Abel. "We knew the quality of Stanford from our game earlier this year.
