Ducks Come Back to Beat Northwestern

TEMPE, Ariz. – The sixth-ranked Oregon softball team came back from a three-run deficit to put away Northwestern, 9-3, Sunday afternoon at the Kajikawa Classic. The Ducks scored four runs in the fourth inning and then tacked on five more in the fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Neither team could find much offense in the first three innings and then the Wildcats (3-2) struck first in the top of the fourth with a lead-off single.

The No. 3 batter, Andrea Filler, singled to center field and stole second during the next at-bat. The pitcher, Amy LeTourneau, then hit an RBI-single to center field, scoring one run.
